In protest, the monk was doused in gasoline and lit himself on fire, remaining perfectly still. Even after being cremated a second time the monks heart remained. We suggest leaving this type of protest to monks who spend their life mastering mind and body.

“Water flows uphill towards money.”The backdrop to one of the greatest detective dramas ever made is the true events of the California water wars. To grow as a city, Los Angeles needed a strong water supply. By pitting neighboring farms against each other and deception, the city acquired enough land to pull water away from the Owens Valley and send it directly to the city of Los Angeles running the river dry.
